Doing an oil change on your first-gen Yamaha R1 (1998-2001)? While you're down there, you MUST replace this little gasket. It's for the oil strainer cover (some call it the oil pan gasket). Part number replaces the OEM 4XV-13414-00 or 01. The old one gets hard and brittle, and if it leaks, you'll lose oil fast – bad news for your engine. This new gasket from Paw977_Powersports seals it up tight. It's a cheap piece of insurance during your service. Just clean the surfaces, pop the new gasket on, torque the bolts correctly, and you're good for another few thousand miles. Don't skip this – a leaking gasket can ruin your ride (and your wallet).
